The annual employee kick-off must always be a highlight for the employees. The motivation of the employees is very important to the company in order to continue to stabilize the company’s very positive basic mood and to achieve the company’s goals. In addition, the customer’s KickOff events are „topped“ every year with new, creative ideas that should remain within the given budget.

Goals

The customer has high goals. The products are highly innovative and special, including the employees. The annual KickOff event is designed to bring together the workforce across three countries, strengthen teams, share key corporate figures and goals, and increase employee motivation.
Toshiba will continue to be an attractive employer. The claim to the event is: „There must still be something to do“. The conceptions of the products should always be in a kind of „theater demonstration“ that the employees themselves create – and which should be consistent with the location that is booked. Toshiba places great value on a well thought-out overall concept!

Concept and solutions

For 2008, the company was targeting the „highest ever“ for sales – as it were, the summit of the achievable. To impress this goal impressively, we have considered: what is the highest thing that can be achieved in Germany: the Zugspitze! „OnTOP“ should be targeted not only to sales, but also in a prestigious location „in the future for 2008“. As Teamevent, we thought about building „Igl“, which took place on the highest mountain of Germany – an activity that no one had ever experienced or had ever experienced.

Execution

The participants were accommodated in a lake hotel in Garmisch. A torch-hike to a Bavarian farm with a hearty Bavarian start is the three days: a Bavarian evening with finger-hooks and measuring jugglers.

The second day was dedicated to company meetings. Not in the hotel, but in a converted, typical Bavarian inn, the employees have found a perfect set-up, which is still present in the minds of the people. It was started with a shoe shoe from the management, of course, in a striking costume. Followed by the actor’s top-notch achievements, the company’s information and new products were passed on to the employees.

After the meetings, the Teamevent was on the agenda.

To this end, we have set up 16 team stations on Germany’s highest mountain – to build igloos in staff teams. On the Zugspitze with its own hands, building igloos has already something – and if these igloos are lit up with torches stylishly, own „Toshiba-Schneemänner“ and lettering embellish the buildings – then every participant can be proud of who it was: it Were temperatures of just -30 degrees Celsius …

However, the evening event with a band and a view from the Zugspitz panorama restaurant compensated for one or the other cold foot: we dunked the entire Zugspitze in Kundenrot and let the customer logo move around the Zugspitze.
